Madeline Wimmer has joined University of Minnesota Extension as a fruit crops extension educator. In this role, she will work with fruit growers across the state on issues and develop programs to meet grower needs. Madeline is excited to create tangible education programs and work with new growers to improve production and establish high-quality fruit operations while maintaining plant health.
Born and raised in Rochester, MN, Madeline received her education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and worked with cold climate wine grapes during her graduate years. She has spent time working on vineyards in Missouri and Wisconsin. She works out of the the regional extension office in Rochester.
