From growing grapes in a vineyard setting to your very own backyard or garden, dormant pruning is the first step to managing grapevine growth and productivity. No matter your background or previous experience with pruning grapes, we invite you to join us for a grape pruning workshop happening this year throughout Minnesota from February and March.

During this workshop, participants can expect to learn about the basics of grapevine anatomy, pruning techniques, and will have time to practice hands-on pruning with assistance from workshop educators. Both a detailed handout on pruning grapes and managing grapes in a backyard setting will be available for participants as well as time to ask questions and learn about the vineyard where the workshop is hosted.

The same workshop will be hosted at four different locations, dates, and times:

Saturday, February 17th from 1:00PM-3:00PM at Chankaska Winery in Kasota, MN.

Saturday, February 24th from 11:00AM-1:00PM at Milner Heritage Winery in Kimball, MN.

Tuesday, February 27th from 1:00PM-3:00PM at Red Pine Winery in Cambridge, MN.

Friday, March 15h from 1:00PM-3:00PM at Northern Hollow Winery in Grasston, MN.

Registration is $15 per party with up to two participants per party. Second participants are required to register and can register with a code presented on the receipt received after purchasing the first registration.

Please email or call the event coordinator assigned to the workshop of interest to inquire about financial scholarship for this event. Scholarship priority will be given to emerging and BIPOC farmers and gardeners.
